Newborn Care Week: free breastfeeding & parenting support

Join our nurses for daily sessions on early breastfeeding, skin-to-skin care and newborn hygiene in the postnatal wards.

Newborn Care Week brings mothers, fathers and guardians together with our midwifery and neonatal teams for practical, hands-on sessions through the week.

Daily sessions include

• Early and exclusive breastfeeding support
• Skin-to-skin care and keeping your newborn warm
• Newborn hygiene, cord care and danger signs to watch for
• Immunisation schedules and follow-up clinic dates

Sessions are open to all families on the wards and free of charge. Speak to the nurse in charge of your ward for the daily schedule.
