Outpatient Services

Clinics, triage and the everyday route through Pumwani — from the reception desk to your prescription and next clinic date.

How a Visit Works

Four steps from reception to pharmacy

Outpatient services run Monday to Saturday during the day, with emergency and labour intake open 24 hours, every day of the year.

1 · Reception & registrationPresent your ID, booklet or referral letter. A file is opened or retrieved and your clinic is confirmed.
2 · Triage & vitalsWeight, blood pressure, temperature and urine checks, with priority for urgent cases and infants.
3 · ConsultationYou are seen by a clinical officer, medical officer or consultant depending on your condition.
4 · Investigations & pharmacyLaboratory, ultrasound or X-ray as needed, then collect your medicines and your next clinic date.
Arrive early: clinics fill quickly. Patients attending before midday are normally completed the same day; late arrivals may be asked to return the following working day unless urgent.
