Newborn Care Week brings mothers, fathers and guardians together with our midwifery and neonatal teams for practical, hands-on sessions through the week.
Daily sessions include
- Early and exclusive breastfeeding support
- Skin-to-skin care and keeping your newborn warm
- Newborn hygiene, cord care and danger signs to watch for
- Immunisation schedules and follow-up clinic dates
Sessions are open to all families on the wards and free of charge. Speak to the nurse in charge of your ward for the daily schedule.
